Handling of Personal Information on Our Website

Pursuant to its Privacy Policy, JFE Systems, Inc. ("Company" hereinafter) uses and handles personal information it obtains from customers, trading partners, job applicants, those making inquiries with the Company, and other parties as described below.

The Company shall manage and protect personal information belonging to or concerning users of the Site as described below:

The Site contains various sections, including Corporate Information, Products & Services, Seminars, and Employment.
In principle, users who access the Site are not required to provide their name or other personal information.

Users who request Company product catalogs or explanatory materials on the Products/Services Form*1 are asked to provide personal information such as their company or organization name, section name, name, title, telephone number(s), email address, postal code, and address.

Users who make inquiries using the Product Support Form are asked to provide personal information such as their company or organization name, section name, name, telephone number(s), fax numbers, and email address.

Users who make inquiries using the JFE Systems General Inquiries Form are asked to provide personal information such as their name, email address, company or organization name, section name, title, telephone number(s), postal code, and address.

Users who make inquiries using the JFE Systems Privacy/Quality Control Inquiries Form are asked to provide personal information such as their name, email address, company or organization name, section name, title, telephone number(s), postal code, and address.

Users who make inquiries using the JFE Systems Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Inquiries Form are asked to provide personal information such as their name, email address, company or organization name, section name, title, telephone number(s), postal code, and address.

On the Employment page, students interested in joining the Company are asked to provide personal information such as their name, gender, age, current address and telephone number(s), permanent address and telephone number(s), email address, school names, and the name of their faculty/department. Prospective midcareer applicants interested in the Company are asked to provide personal information such as their name, age, address, telephone number(s), email address, academic history, career history, and computer-related qualifications.

Users who make inquiries using the Other Inquiries Form are asked to provide personal information such as their name, email address, company or organization name, section name, titles, telephone number(s), postal code, and address.

Users who request subscriptions using the JFE Systems Email Newsletter Application Form are asked to provide personal information such as their name and email address.

Products/Services Form:

  • Downloading documentation
  • Applying for seminars and other events
  • Questionnaires on seminars and other events
  • Signing up for email newsletters
  • Applying for promotional campaigns

3. Handling of cookies on the Site

The Company uses cookies to analyze traffic and personalize content to improve users' experience of the Site.

You must accept cookies to get the most out of the Site. Cookies are used to store preferences (e.g., preferred language) and user behavior on the Site (e.g., login status) and to obtain analytical data to improve site features and performance and ascertain records of customer actions on the Site.

The following processing takes place after a user agrees to accept the Site cookies:

Personal information provided on the Products/Services Form*1 is used to respond to questions and comments from users, send Company product catalogs and explanatory materials, provide information on trade shows and seminars planned or to be attended by the Company, provide introductions to new products or services and related information, and provide information on other special services. Information on users' access of the Site may be used to improve user services, provide advertising optimized to user interests, and conduct marketing activities, after analysis and review of its specifics.

Personal information provided on the Product Support Form is used to respond to user inquiries.

Personal information provided on the JFE Systems General Inquiries Form is used to respond to user inquiries.

Personal information provided on the JFE Systems Privacy/Quality Control Inquiries Form is used to respond to user inquiries.

Personal information provided on the JFE Systems Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Inquiries Form is used to respond to user inquiries.

Personal information provided on the Employment page is used to provide employment information and contact individuals. The Company disposes of such information by making it unrecoverable or by fully deleting it after the end of hiring activities.

Personal information provided on the Other Inquiries Form is used to respond to user inquiries.

Personal information provided on the JFE Systems Email Newsletter Application/Cancellation Form is used to send or stop sending email newsletters to users.

5. Providing personal information collected by the Site to third parties

Personal information provided is retained within the Company and is not disclosed to or shared with any third parties without the consent of the individuals concerned, except in cases in which the Company entrusts such information to subcontractors to achieve the above purpose of use or when reasonable grounds exist for its disclosure or other provision under laws and regulations.

6. Subcontracting the handling of personal information collected by the Site

The Company may entrust personal information to subcontractors with whom it has concluded agreements concerning the handling of personal information to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of use of the information.

7. Options regarding the provision of personal information

Providing personal information to the Company is optional and subject to the discretion of the individual user.

However, note that certain Company services may not be available if you choose not to provide the necessary personal information.

8. Obtaining information by methods not readily perceived by the individuals concerned

The Company does not collect personal information by methods not readily perceived by the individuals concerned, such as automatic collection of location or device information through smartphone apps.

9. Managing personal information collected by the Site

Personal information entered by users is managed strictly and appropriately to safeguard against various risks, including those involving unauthorized access, damage, leakage, and unauthorized alteration.

10. Procedures for responding to demands for disclosure or other actions involving personal information collected by the Site

Users who have provided personal data may ask to be informed of its purpose of use or for its disclosure or correction (e.g., addition, revision), for cessation of use (e.g., deletion), for cessation of provision to third parties or disclosure of records of such provision. Please contact the person responsible via the relevant Company website.

Users who request Company product catalogs or explanatory materials on the Questionnaire/Request Materials page and wish to change their personal information are asked to contact the sales division responsible for the relevant product, specifying their name, addresses, company name, section name, and the names of the relevant Company products together with the message "Request to update personal information" or "Request to delete personal information." Email addresses for the corresponding contacts are shown under Contact Us on each product webpage. If you wish to update your personal information, include details of the information to be updated.

We may need to confirm your identity as part of this procedure.
