JFE Systems, Inc. (President and CEO: Makoto Iwahashi, Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo - hereinafter referred to as 'JFE Systems') and Chori Joho System Co., Ltd. (President: Hiroaki Hanzawa, Head office: Chuo-ku, Osaka-shi - hereinafter referred to as Chori Joho Systems) have collaborated in the field of electronic forms and will release an automatic fax solution for electronic documents in November 2005.
1. Background
Although electronic mail and EDI have become popular in recent years, fax is still in demand for sending forms anytime, anywhere. However, a number of problems remain in, for example, the cost of fax paper, managing the dispersal of forms, and labor hours for storing and sorting fax documents.
FiBridge II, the JFE Systems electronic form system, and Lightning Fax of Chori Joho Systems, jointly provide a solution for collective form management and automatic fax printing to solve these problems, and maximize the efficiency of electronic form fax operations in corporations.
2.Function
FiBridge II is an electronic form system that processes spool data from a core system and constructs a database of forms which allows the documents to be viewed electronically on a network.
Lightning Fax is a TCP/IP-based fax server system that realizes the fax function on a Windows server with a fax communication board installed.
These two cooperatively allow the automatic fax transmission of a large amount of forms from core systems and others. One of the benefits is the ease with which to respond to receiver's inquiries about transmitted fax forms by looking up the form data saved in FiBridge II.
Additionally, a manual fax retransmission can be simply done by using the transmission history saved in the Lightning Fax.
3. Advantages
FiBridge II and Lightning Fax jointly realize the following:
(1) Automatic distribution of forms by automatic direct fax transmission of forms from the core system.
(2) Reduced operating costs due to greater efficiency in responding to inquiries, correspondence, and retransmission; and reduced printing costs, as less paper is required.
(3) Enhanced security due to transmission log management and collective processing of outsourcing works
